Well the weekend did go pretty much the way I expected – crappy weather on Saturday but I went for a swim and OK weather on Sunday so I did get up for a snowboard with the million other people.
There is some romance news that I have to share with you guys though – my Aussiebum Portsea’s did get noticed on Saturday. I got a message on my online dating profile asking me if I was the one wearing Aussiebum’s at the pool – I’m guilty as charged.
The guy who messaged me is a 27yo english tourist here for the winter as a snowboarding instructor (I won’t use his real name here so we’ll call him Mike for the time being). We exchanged a couple of messages yesterday and I suggested that we catch up at the pool for some laps (Mike was wearing a pair of black speedo speedos). Mike had some instructor training stuff on today but said we should catch up on the hill on Tuesday.
So I have a snowboarding date on Tuesday afternoon. I’m thinking that after riding we can go to a pub which is on the way home and have a few beers and see where things go from there.
To tell the truth I can’t remember seeing Mike at the pool but hopefully he looks something like this….
