Finally the sun is out here on the Aussie Central Coast.
It isn’t like there has been no sunshine at all since I’ve been back but none of these gorgeous days with uninterrupted sunshine and no wind. The water (ocean) temps are still pretty warm at about 18C but the air temp has been colder than that.
Since it is a nice day, I’m going to spend it wearing nothing but speedos. Why not?
If you walk past my house and you see me up sitting with my laptop wearing my speedos, come up and say g’day. You should be only wearing a speedo as well though.
Just a quick post before I walk down the beach and grab some lunch (fresh bread and prawns). It is low tide which makes the walk quicker. Funny how when I was in Breckenridge with Kip we followed the daily weather religiously, now that I’m on the beach again, I follow the tides religiously.
This time of year things are super quiet so I’m not expecting any eye candy on the walk down and I’m really not expecting any speedo eye candy.
I wish I saw some guys riding bikes in speedos – that would be hot!!!
OK guys, I gotta roll. Might hit up the pool this afternoon although I don’t think Alex can make it.
Just got back from a post ANZAC Day Dawn Service surf. It was great to see all those people out early on a Saturday.
One of my buddies called me last night so there was a few of the local crew there and then we walked back down the beach to my place and grabbed the surf boards.
For those international readers, ANZAC Day is our memorial day to fallen soldiers from all the wars Aussie has been involved in. The ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The day, April 25th, marks the day that Australian and New Zealand troops landed on Gallipoli (Turkey) in 1915. It was the first combat that Australian and New Zealand troops had encountered. The Gallipoli campaign was a military defeat (it was Winston Churchill’s idea. his position at the time was First Lord of the Admiralty, the political head of the British Navy).
So at dawn on the April 25th, there are services honouring fallen ANZAC’s.
Some pics of my beach at dawn, I didn’t take these pics, it was a bit grey this morning but you get the idea.
