Over the last couple of weeks I’ve ordered some new speedos and today they arrived. I’m still waiting on a black lycra thong but I couldn’t wait for it to give you guys this update.
My new speedos are a pair of red Arena speedos, I have a black and navy pair that I use at the pool all the time. For some weird reason I realised that I didn’t have a pair of red speedos in my collection so I had to correct it. I think I can pull off wearing a red speedo at the pool for some lap swimming.
The 2nd new pair of speedos is the turbo speedos. I love the photo of them which is the new header for this blog so I had to get some. These are my 2nd pair of Turbo speedos which is more of a waterpolo brand. The first pair I bought were the Aussie flag ones which I sent to one of my content producers (I’ll post those pics later in the week). My first experience with Turbo was how small they are. I bought a large and they were too small to wear except for short periods before getting them off in the bedroom. This time I bought an X-Large and they are still a snug fit. Compared to AussieBum, which I have a pair of blue classic (in the picture below) that are size 16 and they are about the same fit as the Turbo XL.
This is the first pair of ‘funky’ speedos that I have so I can’t wait to wear them to the pool. Being a waterpolo speedo the material feels very heavy duty.
And here are the photos that inspired me to buy them. Fun looking speedo!!!
I last posted on Saturday around lunch time. I’m sorry for not posting since then BUT Saturday night turned in a HUGE night and surprisingly for me, I backed up and Sunday became another HUGE night.
Right now it is Tuesday night and finally I feel half normal again. Nothing naughty to report, just some guys from Sydney were up and things just kept going later and later. Lots of fun but I hate wasting what feels like 2 days of the week.
Now I’m back though, going to the pool early tomorrow because Alex can’t make it at lunch time.
My new project though it to pull my finger out and get the new DE Swimwear line moving. I’ve got so many ideas on the product I want, I’ve had samples made up and I think there is a demand for what I can create. On top of that, I have you guys to tell me if my DE Swimwear are good or bad. And one last thing, I think some brands are getting a little big for their speedos when they are charging up to, and even more than US$40 for a speedo.
Here is a little question for you guys. Which of the three cuts of speedos below do you like the most? Helps when the 3 models are all perfect speedo specimens.
My personal preference is the one on the left worn low on the hips.
Just about to head off to the pool for a Friday morning swim and thought I’d show you guys what speedos I’ve been wearing lately.
I’m a huge fan of the ADIDAS 3-stripe speedos and a few months ago someone emailed me telling me where to find some with red and blue on the hips and I immediately bought 2 pairs of them. Turns out they aren’t lycra and the sides are a bit thicker than my previous 3-stripe speedos which is a bit of a shame.
On the positive side though, they are made of a heavier material and are super durable. This has turned out great and I’ve been wearing them a bunch and pretty much every day I’m at the pool.
So if you are in Breck keep an eye out for me and maybe a wind down back at Kip’s place in his hottub could be in order.
This should be enough motivation to keep me swimming…..
