It is that time again, where in the world is Dave Evan’s going to go.
Hanging out here in Colorado has been fantastic and definitely has given me an itch to get back to an Aussie summer. Summer in San Fran hasn’t been as warm our as outdoorsy as I had hoped. Although I love the city, spending a winter there doesn’t seem like me.
The darn US dollar is super cheap right now which makes it a lot more expensive for me to move back to Australia or New Zealand and I could spend another winter in Breckenridge with Kip as he has a spare room and we get a lot of work done when we are living under the same roof.
All these choices.
The least on my San Francisco apartment expires on Nov 1st so I could head out to the mountains for a couple of months, save some money and then head back to Australia in Jan/Feb and get the last of summer and not have to deal with the school holidays over there which are crazy on the Central NSW Coast.
I’d love to look into the Caribbean but I haven’t spent any time down there and don’t know the lay of the land which makes it a little tougher.
Either way – not a bad problem to have. As a friend of mine says…. white people problems.
I’ve heard (from blog readers email me) about a nude beach north of where I’m staying – it is called Birdie Beach.
The furtherest north beach I’ve been to is Soldiers Beach which is a beautiful spot but I’m told this Birdie Beach is just north of that.
When I woke up this morning (about 9am) I looked out my window and I thought the weather had cleared. I jumped out of bed, quick shower, couple of cups of coffee and got stuck into some work that I had to get done this morning….
….now, it is bloody raining again!!!
Not really nude beach weather is it.
The forecast is better tomorrow so fingers crossed – back to work for me. I might check out Grindr here this afternoon maybe since I didn’t have my usual wake-up-wank.
As expected the first 48hrs of my stay on the Central Coast has been crazy!!!
Poker on Friday night was great and fun catching up with everyone. Most of the guys are married and starting families but 3 of the other ‘bachelors’ decided to hit the town and we walked down to the Terrigal Pub. I can’t believe they let us in considering it was 11pm and we were all a touch inebriated. I remember the bouncer at the door asking me if I’d had much to drink…. my reply was “So much that I can’t remember how many.” Then the guy let me in – hahaha.
Saturday morning I was a little dusty and the weather was terrible so no surfing was on the cards. By mid afternoon though the house was starting to fill up with people coming around to watch some AFL (these guys prefer league) and we are back on the beers.
Saturday nights party was an 80’s theme – since the birthday boy was born in ’82. I didn’t have anything 80’s but everyone else dressed up pretty good.
There was talk of some of the guy taking me down to the Beery (Beer Garden) but by the time anyone got organised it was well after 1am!!!
So I got out of bed about an hour ago, watching the Sydney Swans and hanging out for some Godfather Pizza.
Hopefully the weather improves and I can get some speedo time on the beach.
