Today is a weird weather day, it is warm, overcast and the ocean is like a pond it is so still.
I was well behaved last night and stayed in and did some work – I had a few missed calls from mates who were out at the pub. A quick swim in the ocean before breakfast this morning – the water is warming up really nice – bacon and eggs for breakfast (in my speedos of course) and for lunch I’ve got some mates coming around to watch the Aussie’s finish off the English in the 3rd Ashes Test (cricket).
There will be some backyard cricket on the cards as well – I haven’t quite got it figured out at my new place yet but we’ll work it out.
My Monday isn’t very busy so I might have a few Rums to celebrate our win. A morning walk along the beach is a great way to clear the head.
This is why I moved back to Australia!!!
We had a big night at the local pub last night, slept in (unforuntately on my own), 5 minutes from waking up I was in the surf going for a swim and now I’m sitting on the couch watching the Ashes.
For those who don’t know ‘The Ashes’ is a cricket trophy that Australia and England play for every 4 years or so. The ‘Ashes’ are from some stumps burned in the 1880’s. I saw the urn that holds the ‘Ashes’ at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) a few years back and it is surprisingly small.
Unforuntately, my two house mates are here as well so I’m not sitting here in speedos as I’d like to. But that is OK, on Monday I’m going to be living in a 100% speedo friendly house – hahaha.
No doubt there will be some backyard cricket this afternoon and a BBQ for dinner (no shrimp on the barbie – I don’t think I’ve ever had ‘shrimp on the barbie’ – we don’t even call them shrimp – we call them prawns). It is getting a bit hot so I’m going to go jump in the surf again.
I can’t believe I’m up this early – I must be still drunk I think.
Ended up at the local pub last night, Natalie was there and is still in my bed as I write this. I’m still not sure what is going on with her boyfriend – women are far too complex.
Anyway, as long as it warms up a bit (yeah it is 6C outside (44F or there abouts) but it is supposed to warm up and I have some mates from Sydney coming up for a BBQ, watch some rugby and play some beach cricket.
Although speedos are completely acceptable attire at the local pool here, they aren’t quite appropriate for an afternoon with friends on the beach so I won’t be beach cricketting in my speedos unfortunately – how awesome would that be though!!! I think it could even be a spectator sport like the beach volleyball. Which gets me thinking – the girls in beachvolley ball wear tiny bikini’s – I think those blokes should wear speedos. That would make it more acceptable for the rest of us to speedo it up.
PS – Seems like that new $4.95 trial at SwimmerBoyz.com is something you guys like. The last 2 days have both been new records for new members. Thanks for all your support guys.
