I’ve had a white Xmas before in America and I’ve been here for one Thanks Giving but I’ve never been here for July 4th.
The city is buzzing with patriotism – despite Fox News thinking that every person in San Francisco is a troops hating, pot smoking, anti-American homosexual (I actually watch a little bit of Fox but I thought you guys would like that).
Tonight I’m having a roof top BBQ, the weather is nice enough and it isn’t too windy so should be great.
If you have any pics of guys wearing speedos sporting the Stars and Stripes drop over to www.TheSpeedoForum.com and post your pics.
Good luck to Mr. Phelps in the up coming Olympics – stay off the wacky tabacky mate.
Wow it is 4 days since I last posted – that is nearly a new record for me. I’m normally posting pretty much every day.
I had some kiwi friends (that is New Zealanders) in town over the weekend so I did a little bit of entertaining but nothing too much. Went for a surf on Sunday morning and then had some friends around for a BBQ, 2 nights ago I got another late night booty call which I accepted and ended up going to sleep at about 4am (things we do to get our rocks off).
I was just skyping with Kip and he said that he has had a huge 4th of July weekend and went skiing – that is crazy to be skiing on 4th of July but they had an epic winter there in Colorado. I’ve never been in the US for a 4th of July weekend and it is something I should do some day.
Tonight I am inivted to a poker game but I think I might pass and go for an early morning surf or run tomorrow and catch up on some work tonight. Think I’m coming down with a bit of a cold too.
That was a very unexciting blog post – probably wasn’t worth the 4 days waiting for it. I promise I’ll do better tomorrow.
These boys here look like they had fun in their speedos on 4th of July – anyone got a pair of speedos like that? I think I should get some – it would be a nice addition to my collection.
I’m keen to hear what you guys think about the whole ‘Ground Zero Mosque’ thing – I’d like to know what New Yorkers think and also what my Muslim readers think.
I personally think it is a bit rude. 911 was committed in the name of Islam. I hope not all Muslims have the same exteme views but I’m sick of people pretending that it had nothing to do with religion.
What really gets me is all the left wingers questioning our ‘tolerance’ towards Islam. That whacko Christian who was going to burn a bunch of Koran’s wasn’t shown much tolerance for his ‘rights’ and burning American flags seems to be a daily exercise in the Muslim world.
If the ‘Ground Zero Mosque’ goes ahead, I’m more than happy to show my tolerance despite me thinking it is in bad taste. I would like to think that the Muslim world would show me the same tolerance if I opened a gay nightclub in Saudi Arabia.
Keen to hear what you guys think.
