Here in Aussie lap swimming in winter is just perfect. Pool doesn’t have to be heated, but my local pool is, and we get so many fantastic days during winter. It also keeps my speedo tan current, hehehe.
Summers aren’t as good.
When schools aren’t on holidays, the pool is used by school groups which take the entire place over so I avoid it like the plague. There is a window at 2pm, where the school groups have finished, and the after school swimming stuff doesn’t start until 3:30pm.
Today I thought that with the holidays coming up that all the swimming carnival stuff was over. I got to the pool nice and early. Only one other lane was occupied. I was just stripping down to my speedos when 3 school buses rocked up. Grrrrrrr….. looks like I’m not swimming today.
I’ll try again tomorrow at 2pm…
