Today was a terrible day (weather wise) and although the ski field opened today – it didn’t. It rained over night and was howling. I did wake up at 6am, checked the weather, looked outside and then went back to bed. It was a good decision.
Then I woke up, went grocery shopping, then for a swim in my Aussiebum Portsea’s. This is my 4th swim now but the first time I’ve worn something other than ‘normal’. It was probably just my own imagination but I thought that I got a few looks so tonight I updated my online dating profiles to say what I was wearing to see if any of those ‘looks’ develop into anything.
I promise to keep you guys posted on that front.
Tomorrow (Sunday) looks a little better than today but not by much – I’m sitting in bed writing this and it is before midnight so I will try and get up early tomorrow to check on the weather but another swim sounds like a plan.
Here are what my Aussiebum’s look like.

It’s always fun to wear a speedo in a public pool while swimming laps, I have a one inch Solar I sometimes wear, although usually a 2 inch side, but its always kind of fun to wear a skimpy speedo in the guise of sport, in front of uptight straight guys in board shorts, lol

Wayne,
I have a speedo solar (black) as well but like you I’m sticking mainly to 2 inch side speedos.
Perhaps in a couple of weeks time when the novelty of the new pool wears off and there are a few less people about I’ll feel more comfortable wearing my speedo solar.
There were a few guys wearing dork shorts yesterday but I felt completely fine in my Aussiebums.

And speaking of which…
I just got something in the mail that I’ve been looking forward to: the Andrew Christian Mini Board suit.

I’m not a big one for exterior draw-strings, but the fact that this has a large waistband, and is a bit larger in its side coverage than Speedo Solars and similar things (of which I have many), it seemed rather appealing.
I’m wearing them now, and they’re lovely! I like them very much!
(Now, if only I had an occasion to wear them for…)
In my experience, oftentimes anything in the “brief” department, whether 1″, 2″, or even 3 or 4″ on the sides, is too revealing for the uptight straight guys…but they’re all staring anyway. Even when I’ve worn midcuts (which I also rather like), oftentimes they’re considered too ostentatious or risqué just because they’re form-fitting. What’s wrong with that? Anyway…The most important thing is to have fun, innit? 🙂
