My alcohol ban is going well thus far. This morning I was up early for a run along the beach (low tide early this morning which works), grabbed the paper and breakfast, did some work and I went for a swim.
By the time I got home it was 2pm so I thought I’d have an afternoon nap for an hour – ow it feels soooo good!!! I was asleep within 2 minutes of lying down and I set my alarm for just 1hr.
Now I feel full of energy and I’m ready to spend the next 8hrs working – whooohooo.
I did txt the blond I met on Saturday night/Sunday morning – I only sent the txt about half an hour ago so fingers crossed…

When I was much younger (i.e. 19), I had a semester in college where on one day of the week, I had to be at a 9 AM lecture, then voice lessons at 1 (usually with voice practice before that), then two hours of fencing, and two to three hours of dance in the evening. It was physically taxing, but also invigorating…And, the only time in my entire life where I’ve been able to power-nap for exactly twenty-five minutes, falling asleep within five minutes of laying down. I’m an awful insomniac usually…So, it was nice to have that, but I think I literally needed it with all of that activity.
Incidentally, Dave, do you do the David Hasselhoff in Baywatch thing and take your morning run on the beach in speedos as well? And if not, why not? 😉

Phil,
I agree with you that it does feel good sometimes to be tired.
No speedo run along the beach here – speedos are fine but I’m not quite sure I’d have the confidence to do my morning run in only them.
Most mornings when I get back to where I walk onto the beach I’ll strip down and go for a swim in only my speedos.

You could always do the old triathlete thing, and wear speedos with a rash guard or a tank top, run in that, and then shuck the shirt when you go for your swim…but, that just might make people like me who are all pervy over such things have too many ideas. 😉
