These are stories of my travels – or stories of while I am travelling.
I was keen to tell you guys what Mark and I got up to yesterday afternoon but the Victorian bush fires and with the death toll at 170 I thought out of respect I’d write a post about the fires.
It has put a somber mood on the entire place – when I was picked up at the airport on Sunday morning the death toll was 12 and ever since then it seems to jump everytime I hear the news. In discussions with Mark and his friends none of us can grasp at just how fast the fire front was moving in order to catch all these people.
Here are some fotos that I’ve gathered which made me sit back and say ‘HOLY SHIT’!!!
The news here hasn’t shown maps of where these places are and Google Earth gives a real picture of just how much bush is around these towns and how isolated they are. If you are interested search in Google Earth for….
- Marysville, Victoria
- Kingslake, Victoria
On a happier note – today I’m off north up the coast to stay with some friends. They live near the beach at a place called Avoca Beach.
This final foto is obviosuly from satellite. Melbourne (Australia’s 2nd largest city) is hidden by the clouds on the lower left part of the image (left of the smoke trail).
I’m sitting here on the 17th floor of an inner city Sydney apartment just before 9am.
I can just see the Harbour Bridge and less than 30 minutes ago Mark (new photographer) sucked my cock dry. Welcome to Sydney.
Yesterday was a HUGE day – 15hr flight from San Fran to here, add in the flight from Denver and the shuttle from Breckenridge and you have a 32 hr day from when I left Breckenridge to when I went to bed last night.
Mark, whom I know from my triathlon days back on the Gold Coast, picked me up from the airport and we went straight to Bondi beach. I haven’t been to Bondi and it was packed but very speedo friendly (I wore a pair of blank spank lycra speedos – Mark work a pair of AussieBum Portsea’s – you know I love my Portsea’s). Surprisingly the water was a little cold but it was great to be back on the beach and in a speedo.
Then Mark had a few friends around for a BBQ dinner – by now I was really struggling and on top of that we started playing some cards (Euchre). This went on until Mark and I finally won around 11pm.
I was looking forward to having some fun with Mark and his AussieBum’s but I was just dead and went to bed alone.
This morning however, I woke up a little early and made my way into his room and started sucking him off and he spun me around (he is a bigger guy than me – he is 6 foot 5) and started 69’ing.
He had to get to work but I’ve got a feeling this is going to be a fun trip.
Finally I sacked up and decided what to do with my trip out of the US and I’m off to Sydney for 12 days or so.
I had some wonderful offers, thank you to everyone who emailed me with generous offers.
I’ve got a new photographer, Mark, who is an old mate from Brissy who has just moved to Sydney and I’m going to crash at his place and spend some time at the beach. I fly out tomorrow and get into Sydney on Saturday and the forecast is for 40 degrees on Sunday. The heat is going to kill me but all the more reason to speedo it up.
Hopefully I’ll have some time to work between the beach and the Sydney nightlife.
