These are stories of my travels – or stories of while I am travelling.
Today the couples got up around midday. After a late lunch we piled into the van and headed south for an hour to these Mayan ruins. The ruins weren’t that amazing but the beach they were on was one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.
To start there is a reef about 100m off the coast so the water has little to no swell. The sand is really nice and not rocky (in Australian I grew up on beaches that had no rocks on them at all so anything slightly rocky rules it out of being a ‘perfect’ beach for me). And to top it all off – there are cliffs all along the beach about 20m high. Some of these cliffs dropped right into the calm water and other parts of the cliffs left maybe 30m of beach. It was an amazing spot.
There were tones of people there though and it was about 4pm by the time we go to this part so we didn’t go for a swim. But if I win lotto or any sugar daddy adopts me then this is the kind of beach I’m going to buy.
Here are some pics of the beach – this is the actual beach.
We had a few drinks at the bar before heading home and although it is was hot – there was a nice breeze.
In the car on the way home, after 3 margaritas, Sascha and Tiffany brought up the subject of my speedos. I put the pressure back on them saying why weren’t they common. The girls backed off saying they thought they were great and wish more guys did wear them. The conversation finished with a victory for speedos and lots of encouragement for me to wear them around the pool.
When we got home the couples hit the pool but I was keen to see our beach (about 3 minutes walk). I felt bad that it was more than 24hrs after landing and I hadn’t seen the beach closest to us.
The beach was OK (a little bit rocky) and I had a swim in my speedos – there wasn’t too many people around so I couldn’t pick up on the speedo scene there.
And that is where the day has lead me to right now. I’ve just walked in the door from my walk and I’m about to have a shower, some dinner, do some work and then go to bed nice and early.
The time here now is 10am and I’ve been doing some work on ‘the site’ for the last hour or so.
Yesterday after arriving Steve, Ian and I went down town to grab some groceries (which was kinda fun as I don’t speak a word of Spanish/Mexican). The area is really nice although you can see some minor reminents of Hurricane Wilma.
Had a swim in the pool yesterday wearing my boarding with my black speedos underneath (you guys remember when I got these black speedos right… here is a pic of them).
We had a BBQ for dinner and Ian made up some margarita mix (not normally the kind of thing I drink) and between the 5 of us we went through 2 bottles of tequila.and a couple of sex packs of beer. Before heading to bed I said I was going for a swim in the pool.
Walking outside I was pretty horny and stripped down to my black speedos and dove in. I hadn’t expected Sascha and Ian to come out for a swim but they did. They didn’t see me strip down to my speedos and with the water being dark they couldn’t see that I was only wearing speedos as well.
After about 10 minutes (longer than I had actually intended on spending in the pool) I was starting to get cold as well as a need to go to the bathroom. Ian and Sascha didn’t look like they were going to be getting out any time soon.
So I made my way to the shallow end and got out. Both commented nearly straight away about my speedos – well before I could cross the 10m of lawn to my towel.
“Didn’t know you were a speedo guy Dave. (hehehe little do they know that I AM SPEEDOGUY – in the sense of this website aussiespeedoguy.net anyways).
“Well takes lest time to dry off and feels way more comfortable than dork shorts. And us Aussie men being hung like horses this kind of swimsuit suits us.
That broke the tension and I turned back towards my towel. Nothing more was said and I think it went pretty good.
I haven’t seen either couple yet – still asleep – but I’ll let you guys know how it goes today.
Just walked in the door guys and I’m testing the internet so just a short post. The house is amazing!!!! It has 3 main bedrooms and absolutely not what I expected for the price that I paid – this is the Fairmont and I paid for the local backpackers.
The pool looks awesome and I’m going for a swim right now. The other couple of the trip Sascha and Ian are from Calgary and are both around 26yo and seem like they should be some fun.
I did bring a pair of board shorts which are a bit loose on me (yes I have lost some weight in the last couple of months) so I think I’ll wearing my speedos underneath today and let everyone know I’m wearing speedos underneath before going speedo only.
Here are some pics of the house…..
