These are stories of my travels – or stories of while I am travelling.
After 4 days in the bush I am back.
Yes I went 4 days without a shower. Despite the cold I smelt that bad that I had to keep the window of my car open on the 4hr drive home today (despite a clean set of clothes I had waiting for me). I must have smelt like a yeti.
I met a bunch of great people on the hike so I’m not going to give too many details about it in order to keep peoples privacy (mainly mine). But here are some photos from the trip (the beach to start with, then the glaciers which created the valleys and finally the hot springs).
You guys can’t believe how much I’m looking forward to a pillow and an electric blanket!!!! I’ve had one shower since I got home (about 6pm) and I’m going to have another one I promise you. I didn’t eat very much at all while I was camping out (I had stacks of food but it was just too much effort to cook since I was sleeping in a tent). And oddly enuf I was starving when I got home tonight and a neighbour invited me over for dinner and I couldn’t even eat all of it – must be my stomach shrinking.
Thanks for all the comments on my last post – it was wonderful to get back from a couple of days offline and know that somebody cares – thanks guys.
The last couple of days here in New Zealand have been gorgeous.
Today I played golf with an old landlord of mine – I don’t like golf and I’m terrible at it but it was a perfect blue sky day and not a breath of wind so I thought why not.
Here are some pics I took while on the course.
And the big news – the new local swimming pool opens this weekend. I’m super excited as it is just around the corner from where I’m living right now and I’ve already got the membership forms.
Just a quick post from the airport here in San Francisco.
I’m sorry for not posting for a little while but I couldn’t get net access where I was staying and to be honest I have been pretty busy catching up with friends and catching up with new friends.
The flight is 12 or 14hrs and I have the back seat on the plane so I should have some privacy to do some writing.
Kip has been working on SwimmerBoyz.com so drop in there for your speedo fix until I’m back on my daily routine.
Ow what the heck – check out these white ADIDAS speedos.
