Just computer stuff. Mostly boring I’m sure.

Holy fuck – I haven’t even officially started my blog – I’m offline now so I’m only writing it in MS Word and I’m already at six pages!!!!
Well yesterday was a bit of a nothing day. I got up around 10am. Went for a ski which wasn’t really that enjoyable with the hangover that I was suffering. It was my turn to cook for Brad and Lauren so I cooked up my ‘world famous’ fish potato bake. I’m not quite ready to reveal its secrets on this blog but I’m sure one day it will come out.
Was a quite night and since I cooked I didn’t have to clean (those are the house rules). I ended up back at my place around 8pm. Did some work on the Site and here I am 3hrs later.
Tomorrow is the Ski to Sea race at a neighbour ski resort which I am competiting in (www.Ski2Sea.ca). Some of the other volunteers have put a team together and I’m doing the road biking leg – I wish I was doing the alpine ski leg myself but ow well. I’m to tired to explain the race so if you are interested check out the official website and you will see the leg that I am doing.
Time for bed I think. Tomorrow is a HUGE day. The first of two (Monday is the SLCSP). I probably won’t post for a couple of days because I’ll be in town. Talk to you later guys.
Friday 15TH April 2005
Today is the last ‘real’ day of the ski season. So far I’m feeling OK but I’m kinda waiting for the depression thing to kick in which will really tell me that I’m leaving and perhaps leaving for good.
It is about 7am and I was kinda happy to realize that I didn’t have a headache this morning – hehehehehe. And this keyboards doesn’t seem quite as bad as I thought I was. I’m off for a ski today with Brian (although I’m not sure how he spells it – it might be Bryan???). He is meeting me outside my ski locker at 8:30am so as the kettle boils I’be got some time to talk.
Man – I hope this blog thing doesn’t consume me completely!!!!
Well I’m sure with my adult pay website (which is dedicated to guys in speedos – but I’m not going to tell you what it is) will be taking up at least some of my time over the next couple of days.
Why not tell you a little about my schedule for the next couple of weeks…..
The SLCSP (Ski Lift Company Staff Party – just incase you forgot what that was – it is one hell of an acronym) is on this coming Monday. Then I’m back at the resort frin the 13th until the 19th helping clean up the resort and shut down the chair lifts and stuff for summer.
After the 19th I’m catching the Greyhound to Banff Springs (I’ll tell you the bullshit story about the springs another day – but I do say right now – the springs do exist – all the same Banff is a great place and I’m looking forward to getting back there).
In Banff I’m staying with some old Kiwi (that is people from New Zealand for all those not in the know) friends of mine for a couple of days. I won’t be seeing the springs in Banff but I will be there for a handful of days. I leave Canada officially on the 25th of April but I don’t arrive in Fiji until the 27th. What is with that????
All dateline stuff I suppose. Anyways guys – it is 8:10am now and I’ve gotta get my ski boots on for for Brian.

I’m finally home and unpacked!!!!!
Final shopping day for the season today and I didn’t really have to get much (came to a whole CA$68.50). Went to the second hand bookshop and bought three books for the travels – some Tom Clancy book (searching now for it so I can tell you the title – ow there it is – it is called Sea of Fire). The other two books are a Stephen King – The Long Walk and the final one is a – ow fuck I can’t remember the guys name – he is the English dude. He is a Lord. I remember reading (on the cover that he was the youngest ever in the house of Commons – sorry – I love law subjects at uni). There it is – Jeffery Archer (I’m pretty sure it is with a J not a G). I can’t remember the title of that one but I think it will be the first one I read once I jump on the plane.
While I was in town – now I suppose I do have to quantify town don’t I. Our ski town is a ski resort which is about 22kms – I dunno it is probably about 15 miles for those of you still in the dark ages (sorry – no offence intended). Because I don’t have a car – I could have bought one but the expense didn’t warrant the reward – a trip to town is a day long exercise and very much to be appreciated. For example – a 2ltr bottle of Coke-a-Cola (I had to write the entire thing because just Coke on its own might have been misinterpreted) costs about CA$1.02 at the ‘Real Canadian Superstore; but up in the resort the exact same bottle of Coke-a-Cola will cost you over CA$2.20. And since I’m a tight arse – and a volunteer I tell you – I’ll drink my Scotch with water before paying double for Coke (I’m sure you all get the picture now that I’m not into the ‘other’ kind of coke}.
Now where I was originally going with this story was that while in town I bought the wireless keyboard and mouse that I had been thinking about for weeks. The one I wanted (the cheaper one) was not in stock so I had to get the one that was CA$20 more expensive but the keyboard is split in two which I assume is why I’ve paid the extra CA$20. I’m sure you will also notice that I’ve made no spelling mistakes today so far – that is because I’m typing at half the speed.
If you have ever tried one of these bloody keyboards please let me know if it gets easier.
OK guys – I’m outta here. The weekend is here – I’m pissed on Scotch but unfortunately I’m just here with my new keyboard so I think I’m going to surf for some guys in speedos and hit the hay – and maybe spank the monkey. Hehehe – man I can’t believe I just wrote that.
