No posting for the last couple of days – I’ve been out in the country walking around (they call it ‘tramping’ down here in New Zealand).
A couple of guys I know through a friend asked me if I was keen a few weeks ago and then last week they said they were going and I said I was in. It took me a while to get all the proper equipment but I got just about everything together – as far as the plans for the trip all I was told was that there was going to be 6 of us and we were going to try and get to the base of this (not my foto and not from this trip)…..
As it turned out – with the benefit of hindsights and checking on Google earth now that I’m home we weren’t even in the right valley to find this waterfall. Not to say that we didn’t see any waterfalls. You guys always want a pic of me – well that is me in the grey t-shirt getting soaked by the waterfall (my feet are soaked as well as I had to walk through the creek to get up there for the foto).
Every night it rained and we were soaking wet and on Sunday we had a planned 30km walk out back to the cars which were half way back to Queenstown. Thankfully one of the guys on the trip had a mate who was down that end of the lake with a boat for some fishing comp and offered us a ride home. On the way back we stopped off on this island (for a piss break – drinking all the way back as you can imagine). I ran up the hill and took some pics – this is looking back at where we had just spent 2 days and 2 nights.
After all that effort I didn’t get to speedo it up – it was far far too cold. And although 2 of the guys were HOT HOT HOT they came across as 100% str8. They were a great bunch of guys and I hope that they are going to be mates that I can hang around with in town. Heading out tomorrow night to de-brief the trip. Hope you guys had a good weekend.
PS – If anyone can tell me where these pics are taken (the top pics is taken from a chopper – so name the waterfall) and I’ll give them a free months subscription to SwimmerBoyz.com.

I reckon the first photo is the waterfall coming of Rainbow Lake, near Lake Adelaide and near Milford Sound. On Google Earth, it’s approx 44 degrees 41’44.00″S 168 degrees 04’15.99″E
That’s my guess anyway.
Looks like beautiful country.

I should imagine they’re in New Zealand. The geomorphology seems to indicate that.
Also, you should have been in Toronto Ontario yesterday. Here it’s early autumn and the temperatures were in the 30s. Lots of people in speedos at the beaches fronting on Lake Ontario.

It’s too bad it wasn’t warm enough for a speedo.
I have no idea where these shots were taken, but those waterfalls look really nice. The whole area looks really nice, actually.
@David
Were there really a lot of people in speedos?! That’s too bad, I would have loved to see them. Maybe even be out there too. lol. I’m not far away from Toronto.

Tricky this, as the first picture is of somewere that you weren’t, but Richard could be right.
The other pictures look like you were up at Glenorchy, where there was a big fishing comp this weekend just gone. So the third shot may be taken from Lake Wakatipu looking towards Mt Bonpland?
Fantastic place whatever, so enjoy!

Richard,
You are dead right mate it is Lake Adelaide. We were way off on what we thought it was – I’ll give everyone a couple of days to work out the other 2 places and I’ll give you the google earth address of where we were trying to get to.
I’ve emailed you off your free login to SwimmerBoyz.com – enjoy it mate.
