Hey there should not even be a discussion in this day and age – no condom = no sex – better to use my right hand then risk my life! You are not weird at all – would anyone consider driving at 120km/h without a seatbelt? Nuff said
    Great site!

Dave — where you score is that — as far as the rest of us are concerned, all round the world — you are for real, in this as in all other respects. Looking forward to that re-run with the ladies, and we could probably even survive the threatened dose of politics: all part of your rich tapestry, some bits stronger than others, but that’s how life is.

If anyone can point to another male sex blog that gives every indication of being written by an adventurous, enterprising real guy, I’d love to give it a go — but it wouldn’t shake my loyalty to the clear brand leader…

Jon – thanks for your feedback mate. I honestly thought everyone was on the same page as you and I are and it was shocking to find guys that don’t.

Both these guys are str8 which makes me wonder how many women out there would have unprotected sex with a stranger.

Zebra – you make me blush mate.

Also love your site. Visit every day.

Safe sex? Always. There’s enough sh-t out there that will make your d-ck fall off; why risk it? Is there really someone (a couple of someones, actually) who doesn’t WANT to be safe? Come on!

    Ryan,

    I completely hear you mate.

I also met a couple (husband and wife) in Australia who would only ‘play’ without a condom. These people were players too and I’m sure have had many more sexual partners than I have had.

Booo! Safe sex is *ALWAYS* imporant, for everyone – girls can give or get diseases too. Babies aren’t the only little life ruining bastards you have to worry about.

I mean, honestly, I don’t *love* condoms, and in the past (when in a long term completely mono relationship) we did ditch them, but thats the exception, not the rule.

I find my friends and I spend more time discussing what level of safer sex we use, rather than if its used at all. I’m of the condoms for vaginal/anal intercourse and gloves for anal fingering/fisting and vaginal fisting camp, where as I have friends who use barriers for everything. *Everything*. And some others are in the middle. But there is no question that some sort of protection is being used in some what.

    Hi Dave,

This is the first comment I’ve left on your site… but I visit it daily and love reading what you have to say (great site, by the way!).

When it comes to safe sex, I have to agree with you: safe sex or no sex. And I agree with Ryan, as well… there are just too many diseases out there that can be spread without the use of condoms to make it worth it (not to mention the possibility of pregnancy).

And this may sound weird, but to me, there is something that is damn sexy about watching a guy roll a condom down his dick. Just as sexy as watching a football player put on his gear for the game or a wrestler lacing up his Asics before he hits the mat. I’m sure it comes from my big sports gear fetish, but that’s exactly what I look at it as: the gear needed to play the game… and the anticipation that comes with watching a guy put a condom on drives me crazy… simply because I know what’s coming next. It’s great.

I always ask the people I meet the same question when they say they have no problem screwing without a condom: “Is one night of sex really worth pissing razorblades or cutting your life short?”

    Thanks for the post!

    Wes (In Denver!)

For penetration of any vaginal or anal sort? Absolutely.

For other sexual activities, though, not so much…I don’t do oral very much (except on women), nor do I have oral done to me (don’t really like it), and I prefer not using a dental dam or other such barriers with women. Why make my fun night of cunnilingus suddenly like a dental visit? 😉

And, alas, when some people hear the above, and then think “Jeez, then what’s there left to do?” I get a bit annoyed…People are so uncreative with sex, it’s sad.

If someone doesn’t like using condoms, then certain activities are absolutely off limits, and that’s that.

    Hi Dave

I totally agree with you, safe sex or no sex at all. You are not weird at all. I am hardline on this too.

Life is very precious, there are too many nasty’s out there wanting to take our quality of life. Health to me is so important.

Stick to your morales mate, it is your life and health.

Right on, guys! Yes, there are all kinds of idiots out there who want to play around and take the risk, and some who get an actual thrill out of the possibility of an HIV infection (I can’t figure that one out). My partner and I had several rounds of tests before we formed an exclusive relationship and now we have ditched the rubbers. No playing around for either of us — we value each other too much for that.

Have to agree with Wes all the way. But add that having someone role a rubber down my own c–k is also a big turn on.

Having someone roll a condom down my cock is ecstacy – the anticipation of what is to come as much as the act itself.

Sorry Wendy – I didn’t mean to pigeon hole you ladies but I couldn’t figure out a better way to articulate myself.

    Great discussion guys.

So, a survey, perhaps. How many men wear condoms when receiving head? Just curious what the practice is involving this presumptively low-risk “procedure.”
    Lol. Cheers.

Having worked in a gay bar for several years you would be amazed how many people will have sex without a condom, Condoms are provided in the bar there is no excuse for not using them. I don’t understand, with so many sti’s out there.
    I like being healthy.

    Matt,

    Very interesting topic mate!!!

Personally I love it when a guy cums in my mouth and with the exception of a couple of times with flavoured condoms I don’t use a condom when giving head.

Definitely something I will have a think about though now that you’ve brought it up.

There are plenty of diseases easier to catch than hiv, from sex with both males and females.

  17. 17

    matt

Ked9, you are right. Although the thought of splashing with bleach before and after sounds a bit harsh. What STDs have you had and do you just yank yourself to avoid them?

I always have questions on this topic. People had been telling me sex without condoms brings much more pleasure. Is it really true? Does it really result in much difference? I reckon not really.

Correct me if I am wrong. Isn’t the pleasure from sex is generated more from the interaction between two human beings? I think people do choose even for one night thingy, right?

And what is the point of indulging in an eternally regrettable practice? Why risk yourself infected by incurable diseases?

Seems that the 27 year old now with 18 children who got it on with 11 women over the past few years could have figured that one out for himself? The state of N. Carolina garnishes his wages at 50% for child support. Says he’s learned his lesson?
